Funeral
The funeral is an important part of our lives, because it is the last stage of it. The ceremony, when we escort our loved ones to the last place, which is the cemetery.
Mourning is a sad thing, because we lose someone who was in some way important to us, therefore at this time we want to make it memorable and try to give the utmost respect.
The funeral has always been a part of human life, which is variable in different historical eras and nations. The ceremony is determined mainly by religious practices and beliefs.
The cemetery can be completely different as well, just think of ancient Egypt, where real cities have been built for this purpose.
The concept of the cemetery has existed for tens of thousands of years, which had two key objectives. Whatever religion was used to treat the departed soul, the body had to be separated from the living people for basic hygiene purposes.
Another important aspect for the separation of the cemetery is the funeral itself and after that the multitude of ceremonies. Today there is also a special occasion such as All Saints' Day to visit the cemetery.
There are many ways of the burial. The most common funeral is the burial in coffin and the cremation. In addition, however, there are maritime funerals, funerals in the air and other alternative forms. Nowadays, in our country, the first two forms of burial are the most common.
The method of burying is usually determined by the deceased's will. When there is no last will, then the nearest relatives decide the way.
There has been a mystery of the funeral ever since the beginning, and the primary reason of it is that we, people do not know what awaits us after death. Our loved one who we mourn for today no longer belongs to us, has gone somewhere else, which we know hardly anything about.
Maybe it gives the special atmosphere of the cemetery.
There are some people who fear it and some others are sad. One common feeling, the loss links the relatives and friends together who stayed here, and we try to treat it with the greatest respect, this is the final farewell.
